About The Role
Want to help make student life at UNSW College more exciting, connected and memorable? As a College Crew Officer, you’ll be at the heart of bringing Arc to life at L5. Working as part of a two-person team, you’ll have the opportunity to create and deliver fun, creative and inclusive experiences that get students involved, build community and connect them with everything Arc has to offer — from clubs and activities to volunteering, wellbeing and professional development opportunities.
In a team you will help bring ideas to life through weekly activations and larger scale events where you collaborate with Arc and UNSW College teams. You’ll collaborate with Arc and UNSW College teams to deliver regular activations and larger-scale events, while playing a key role in welcoming new students through three large-scale Orientation events that showcase the energy, diversity and opportunities of Arc @ UNSW and inspire students to get involved in campus life.
Who are We?
Arc is UNSW’s student organisation. We like to call ourselves the cool older sibling. We know that the best parts of going to uni is all the stuff you do outside the classroom, and we pride ourselves on making that experience awesome. We do that through a huge range of opportunities and services available to students online and in-person.
Working at Arc you’ll join a welcoming team of full of like-minded students, who believe in listening to students, working together and having fun between hard work. Work perks include professional development opportunities, the occasional work cake party, hot desk spaces, tickets to the Arc Annual Dinner, and more. But probably the best thing you’ll get out of working here are some friendships you’ll never forget.
Imposter Syndrome disclaimer:
If you’re reading this thinking, ‘no way can I do this, I have no experience’, you should know that some of the best student coordinators at Arc applied when they had no experience. We took them on because we believe in giving people their first chance, and because they showed they had a willingness to learn, problem solve and try new things. You could be that person too
