Job Description
The Roundhouse is lookingfor anexperienced Venue& Events professional to lead the events team. This is a unique opportunity to take on a senior venue management role, working with a diverse portfolio ofcommercialclients across the livemusic and corporate sector, pairedwithbudgetaryandcreativefreedomtoguidetheprogrammingofstudentevents bothinvenueandontheUNSWcampus.
The venue encompasses a concert hall, two bars, a beer garden, two lounge areas, and seven conference rooms.
Roundhouse has a diverse clientele of external hirers, partnerships with UNSW departments, anddynamicon-campusprogrammingtoservicethevibrantUNSWstudentpopulation.
The Role
We are looking for a leader whose values align with ours (you can read more on our mission andvalueshere),whocanenhanceourvenueofferinginacompetitiveeventslandscape, harnesstheskillswithintheeventsteam,andcontributetothegrowthofthebusiness.
Youwillleadtheeventsteam,beresponsibleformanagingandrespondingtoenquiries, haveaccountabilityforeventbudgets,leadvenueset-ups,andbeaprimarypointofcontact forclientsduringevents.Youwillcontributetothedriveforcommercialrevenueandgrowth across commercial markets and steer our student events programming to build engagement withourcoreUNSWdemographic.

Wearelookingforanexperiencedeventsprofessionalwhocanbringstrategicthinking, strongcommercialacumenanda demonstratedability to set andmeettargetsand drive outcomes for the venue. You will have excellent stakeholder and people management skills, have experience winning business and managing clients in a venue, and be someone who thrivesinafast-pacedenvironment.Previousexperienceinasimilarroleisessential.
