Arc is UNSW’s student organisation. We like to call ourselves the cool older sibling. We know that the best parts of going to uni is all the stuff you do outside the classroom, and we pride ourselves on making that experience awesome. We do that through a huge range of opportunities and services available to students online and in-person.

Working at Arc you’ll join a welcoming team of full of like-minded students, who believe in listening to students, working together and having fun between hard work. Work perks include professional development opportunities, the occasional work cake party, hot desk spaces, tickets to the Arc Annual Dinner, and more. But probably the best thing you’ll get out of working here are some friendships you’ll never forget.

Imposter Syndrome disclaimer:

If you’re reading this thinking, ‘no way can I do this, I have no experience’, you should know that some of the best student coordinators at Arc applied when they had no experience. We took them on because we believe in giving people their first chance, and because they showed they had a willingness to learn, problem solve and try new things. You could be that person too.

Job Description

About The Role

eReuse is one of Arc’s sustainability student programs dedicated to reducing e-waste by giving technology a second life. Through regular refurbishment workshops, eReuse transforms donated computers and devices into working machines for students and the wider community – all while raising awareness about the environmental impact of electronic waste and promoting responsible recycling.

The program isn’t just about fixing computers - it’s about extending the life of valuable resources, reducing landfill, and building digital skills. Whether it’s helping students access affordable tech, connecting devices with community organisations, or inspiring more sustainable thinking about electronics, eReuse makes a tangible impact on campus and beyond.

As the eReuse Officer, you’ll be hands-on in running the program. You’ll facilitate and support refurbishment workshops, guide volunteers in assessing, repairing, and preparing devices, and oversee the donation process from intake to redistribution or recycling. You’ll also help grow the program’s reach by sourcing donations, running promotional activities, hosting awareness events, and collaborating with other Arc programs and sustainability partners.

This role is perfect for someone who’s passionate about sustainability, tech, and community impact. If you’re organised, proactive, and love the idea of turning old tech into new opportunities, we’d love to hear from you!
