Job Description
The CANTEEN is seeking to build its roster of casual Food & Beverage Attendants who report to the Food & Beverage (CANTEEN) Manager and form part of the broader F&B team. Food & Beverage Attendants are required to deliver services professionally and effectively to support the day-to-day operation of CANTEEN, ensuring a high-quality standard of service is always maintained. The role requires adherence to food health and safety standards and may involve working across both front-of-house and back-of-house areas, assisting wherever required. This position encapsulates light kitchen duties such as cleaning, serving, and portion control, as well as front-of-house duties including processing EFTPOS payments in a cashless venue, refilling drinks, condiments, and disposable cutlery. The role may be performed across multiple locations, including the main CANTEEN venue, food activations across campus, and assisting with the food truck as required.
Desired Skills and Experience
1-2 years experience in a similar food and beverage related role
Basic food handler certificate – highly desirable
Strong customer service background
Excellent communication skills
Impeccable grooming standards
Open to the variety of duties that this position entails
Friendly, confident and helpful personality
Excellent team player with good problem-solving skills
Applicants must be aged 18 years or older
Passionate about the food and beverage/event industry
Can successfully deliver key brand messages with enthusiasm and confidence

A comprehensive understanding of regulatory compliance across food safety and WHS along with the ability to apply these principles in the workplace
