Arc is the cool older sibling at UNSW. We pride ourselves on our obsession with student life because we know that the best part of going to uni is all the fun stuff you do outside the classroom. Our mission is to create the best student experience and we do that through a huge range of opportunities and services available to students online and in person. Working at Arc you’ll join a welcoming team of passionate people who believe in listening to students, working together and constantly being better. Plus there are plenty of employee perks like cake, volleyball, Arc Wellness and heaps more.

Job Description

At Arc, we’re all about making student life better and that starts with good food.

We’re launching a new on-campus Canteen, expanding our free food activations and pop-ups and we’re looking for a hands-on Food & Beverage Manager to make it all happen.

This is a brilliant opportunity for someone ready to take the next step in their career,  maybe you’ve been running a venue, café, or kitchen and are ready to lead a broader program with purpose? This role is perfect for someone who loves being in the kitchen as much as in the planning room. You’ll design rotating, cost-conscious menus, work directly with cooks and suppliers, and lead a team that delivers affordable, high-quality food experiences every day.

You’ll:

  • Launch and manage the new Canteen, pop-ups and free food activations
  • Design flexible, student-friendly menus that are creative, affordable and sustainable
  • Negotiate with suppliers and contract cooks to get the best outcomes
  • Be hands-on, on campus, in service, and part of the action
  • Work with our Food Hub to reduce waste and build circular economy solutions

What’s in it for you:

  • Mostly daytime hours, very minimal nights and weekends
  • Four extra days of leave at the end of the year
  • Flexible, people-first working environment
  • Be part of a purpose-driven organisation making a genuine impact on student wellbeing

We’re looking for someone who’s as practical as they are passionate, a good human who values inclusion, creativity, and impact over profit.

If you’ve got the creativity of a chef, the focus of a manager, and the heart of a community builder, this is the role for you.
