Job Description

About The Role

The Producers is one of Arc’s sustainability student programs, offering a calm and creative space on campus where students can unwind, connect, and learn practical skills for low-impact living. Based in the Urban Garden, the program blends hands-on gardening with relaxed, accessible activities that make sustainability approachable and enjoyable.

As The Producers Officer, you’ll be at the heart of the garden – planning and running weekly sessions, keeping the garden space healthy and welcoming, and supporting volunteers to learn and thrive. You’ll balance educational activities with fun, accessible experiences, making sure everyone feels confident to have a go. You’ll also work on ideas to broaden the program’s reach through seasonal events, skill-sharing, and collaborations with other Arc initiatives.

This role is perfect for someone who enjoys working outdoors, has a knack for creating welcoming spaces, and is passionate about helping students build sustainability skills in a friendly, supportive environment. If you’re creative, organised, and love seeing things grow, we’d love to hear from you!

 Who are We?

Arc is UNSW’s student organisation. We like to call ourselves the cool older sibling. We know that the best parts of going to uni is all the stuff you do outside the classroom, and we pride ourselves on making that experience awesome. Working at Arc you’ll join a welcoming team of full of like-minded students, who believe in listening to students, working together and having fun between hard work. Work perks include professional development opportunities, the occasional work cake party, hot desk spaces, tickets to the Arc Annual Dinner, and more. But probably the best thing you’ll get out of working here are some friendships you’ll never forget.

Imposter Syndrome disclaimer:

If you’re reading this thinking, ‘no way can I do this, I have no experience’, you should know that some of the best student coordinators at Arc applied when they had no experience. We took them on because we believe in giving people their first chance, and because they showed they had a willingness to learn, problem solve and try new things. You could be that person too.
