Arc is the cool older sibling at UNSW. We pride ourselves on our obsession with student life because we know that the best part of going to uni is all the fun stuff you do outside the classroom. Plus there are plenty of employee perks like cake, volleyball, Arc Wellness and heaps more.
About the role
Food Hub is a free food pantry and student support & sustainability program that provides UNSW students with nutritious ingredients and essential items to help ease the cost of living.
As the Food Hub Officer, you’ll be the driving force behind the program’s day-to-day operations. You’ll help in the all the processes involved in Food hub from unpacking stock and organising the space to helping record metrics and engage with stakeholders. You’ll also recruit, train, and support volunteers, run activations and events, and work on creative ways to increase engagement and visibility across campus.
This role is perfect for someone who’s passionate about sustainability and improving the cost of living crisis, someone who enjoys working in hands-on environments, and thrives on building community connections.
Who are We?
Arc is UNSW’s student organisation. We like to call ourselves the cool older sibling. We know that the best parts of going to uni is all the stuff you do outside the classroom, and we pride ourselves on making that experience awesome. We do that through a huge range of opportunities and services available to students online and in-person.
Working at Arc you’ll join a welcoming team of full of like-minded students, who believe in listening to students, working together and having fun between hard work. Work perks include professional development opportunities, the occasional work cake party, hot desk spaces, tickets to the Arc Annual Dinner, and more. But probably the best thing you’ll get out of working here are some friendships you’ll never forget.
Imposter Syndrome disclaimer:
If you’re reading this thinking, ‘no way can I do this, I have no experience’, you should know that some of the best student coordinators at Arc applied when they had no experience. We took them on because we believe in giving people their first chance, and because they showed they had a willingness to learn, problem solve and try new things. You could be that person too.
