The Roundhouse is seeking to add a Production Coordinator to the Venue and Events team who will report to the Production Manager. The Production Coordinator will support the Production Manager to effectively and professionally deliver the technical and production services required for the variety of student and commercial events to a high-quality standard while ensuring the safe and efficient running of the Roundhouse.
You will be responsible for the coordination, set-up, adjusting and operation of audio-visual equipment for small-to-large events with a focus on student events consisting of open mic nights, dance parties, concerts, meetings, conferences, and corporate events.
This role poses a fantastic opportunity to improve your technical production and operation abilities with access to all Roundhouse A/V equipment, including d&b audio, MA lighting and Blackmagic vision.
This role offers flexible working hours and does require some evening and weekend work.
Job Description
KEY TASKS & ACCOUNTABILITIES
Provide technical expertise involved in the integration and operation relating to the installation, repair, and maintenance of Audio-Visual (AV) equipment and systems such as projectors, monitors, audio, lighting, and other related equipment.
Deliver the technical production requirements for events as advanced by yourself or directed by the Production Manager.
Assist the Production Manager to ensure all production equipment is properly maintained, stored, in good working order and repaired when necessary, including updating and creating new SOP’s, re-termination of cabling along with test and tagging.
Assist the Production Manager to liaise with Building Services to ensure all fixed rigging is properly maintained and utilised within specified tolerances.

Desired Skills and Experience
Essential criteria
Degree/diploma in Audio, Video and Lighting production or equivalent work experience;
Knowledge of Audio, Video and Lighting systems and demonstrated ability to operate technical production equipment.
Demonstrated customer services skills with strong written, oral communications skills and presentation skills;
Ability to work as a member of a team;
Demonstrated punctuality and ability to work to a set roster;
Demonstrated flexibility, including the ability to adapt to and work effectively within a variety of situations;
Ability to multi-task and display initiative;
Ability to follow established procedures, including supervising tasks such as stage builds;
Knowledge of hardware; Audio (d&b PA, DiGiCo, Allen and Heath), Lighting (GrandMA3, Chauvet fixtures, DMX), Vision (Blackmagic, VMix)
Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills;
Computer proficiency;
An understanding of University student’s needs and an ability to effectively incorporate these to enable and achieve student enrichment; and
Knowledge of Workplace Health and Safety (WH&S) and Ethical Practice, along with the ability to apply these principles in the workplace.
Desirable criteria
Tag and Testing Certification;
Rigger’s Certificate and License;
EWPA Yellow Card.
